Turning over a new leaf

Well I have finally done it....after constantly reading and checking other people's blogs (friends and friends of friends) for quite some time, I have finally created a blog of my own. Since I am on the cusp of starting my new career, I have correlated that with the start of a blog. I thought this would be a nice way to keep friends and family up to date on our lives considering we seem to always be further away from them then we would like to be.

I have officially passed my board certification in occupational therapy after two years of graduate school and 6 months of internships, now all I need is the paper saying I can practice therapy in the state of Ohio. I have accepted a position at a SNF (skilled nursing facility) working with older adults who require rehabilitation for things like hip replacements, shoulder, back, and hand injuries, CVA, brain injuries etc. I teach them how to do daily activities (e.g. bathing, dressing, toileting, cooking, shopping, banking) as independently as possible. I am really excited to start my career and cannot wait to see what God has in store for us. I am excited because I believe that this year, 2009, will finally be our year! I have already begun to see God working in my life and my husband Patrick's life and I am ecstatic to see where he takes us next!

I will conclude my first post with a picture of my two loves Diego and Cleveland. *This picture was not posed! They curled up on the couch like that!
